Best Wishes to All

Hola Everyone, Joy here!

I just wanted to take a moment in the midst of all the craziness and panic to send out some love.

I hope that all of our friends, family, clients and cohorts are healthy and safe, and that they are doing what they need to do to keep their loved ones safe and well.

There certainly has been a lot going on the last few years …I feel like my grey hairs have multiplied two-fold. In the end though, I know that we can make it through whatever life throws at us as long as we exercise a little bit of caution and a lot of common sense.

For our part, the tourist season is almost certainly going to end very shortly as people rush to return home before the borders close.

For our part, we will be here, as always…ready to go out sailing for those of you who have decided to ride out the storm in the sunshine, and doing our best to make sure that The Reliant is germ-free.

This may mean that we can’t shake your hands when you arrive as we normally would…and it may take us a little longer to get your snorkel gear ready to go (a little sanitation goes a long long way), but we know that our guests will understand and appreciate the extra caution.

At times like these watching out for your own well-being is actually the best way to safeguard everyone else’s.

I hope we can all take this period of forced inactivity to regroup and refresh, to spend time catching up with friends and family (from a safe distance).

I hope we can all appreciate that while the world is growing and evolving into one in which overpopulation causes pandemics like these to occur….it also creates a society with the technology to work towards curing it when it does happen, as well as the ability to communicate with each other even when we can’t BE together.

We have the ability (for the most part) to pick up our phone, or log into our computer and talk to our parents, and to make sure they are okay….and I hope that we all do that while we are sitting at home.

As much as it worries me that my children are all far away from me right now…it comforts me to know that all I have to do to see their faces and hear their voices…is to pick up the phone.

Lets take advantage of that ! Call the friends you never have time to visit and catch up. Read that book you have dying to read and know that it’s all going to be alright.

We are smart, we are strong and we can get through this. Perhaps when it all settles down we will find ourselves to be refreshed and ready to start over with a bigger appreciation for the things we take for granted.

Pura Vida and Love

Joy and Chris
